This past Friday was October 15th... Shawn's mom,Vicki, would have been 61 years old. She died 10 years ago at 51 years young from breast cancer.
Back in June, Shawn and Christian flew to Utah to join the other 3 Callahan brothers and their Dad for a 5K memorial run in Vicki's memory.
Saturday, Shawn and Christian ran in the Ribbon Run to again remember Vicki, on the day after her birthday. The run was held behind the Huntsville Hospital and the droves of pink tshirts, headbands, shorts, etc, were quite a site to see!
Shawn and the boys run and workout together every Tuesday night. These 5k runs have become a hobby that Shawn and Christian really enjoy together.
Their next runs are the Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Morning, and the Rudolph run, weekend before Christmas. Christian is going to organize a 5k team from his Scout troop to raise funds for a charity. He's a softy, especially for a teenage boy. Love him!
